How often do you get in the photograph with your children? Every day, week, never? As mums, we are often the ones taking the photographs but don't always appear in them. Back in 2020, I started an initiative for mums to get in the photograph and it became so popular online, that I went on BBC Radio to talk about the project. I created a little community, got many mums starting to think about getting in the photograph with their own children, and now I run regular projects and events dedicated to them right here in Angus Scotland.
Last year in Arbroath and Dundee when the cherry blossoms came, I decided this was the perfect opportunity for mums and their children to go take some beautiful images together. I picked two dates in May and it turned out to be the most lovely event with the perfect weather for photographs. For this particular event, it was all about just getting mums out there with their phones taking photographs and I also booked professional sessions for those who wanted fine art images too. I met so many mums with their children on both dates, dedicating some quality time to posing and playing in the blossoms, and honestly I have been looking forward to doing this event again all year long!
So the exciting bit! I am happy to announce that this year due to popular demand, I will be running the Mums Get in The Photograph Event again here in Arbroath only! You will be able to book your 30 minute session slot online, pay just a £50 deposite (remaining balance on the day) and receive 10 digital images of you and your loved ones amongst the cherry blossoms. There will also be the option of getting beautiful fine art prints for your walls once your album is completed.
I will also be allocating a special 'MUMS HOUR' on both dates, which will be dedicated to taking photographs and videos with just your smart phones, this doesn't need to be booked and you can turn up any time within the hour. There are limited slots each day for professional photographs though and every one who signs up to the mailing list will receive first priority, so please make sure you get on the list for when I launch the dates next week!
